Below is the information made available as of October, 2023.
- November 2021 – Department of Defense (DoD) published the notice of proposed rulemaking
- June 2023 – DoD drafted the proposed rule
- July 2023 – Small Business Administration (SBA) reviewed the proposed rule
- September/October 2023 – Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs (OIRA) is reviewing the proposed rule
- Fall 2023 – OIRA will publish the proposed rule
- Winter 2023/2024 – Public comment period
- 2024 – DoD adjudicates comments from the public
- 2024 – CMMC 2.0 Launches
